Today

Today as I opened my eyes, I thank the Lord for granting me another opportunity to walk this beautiful green Earth because all power is in his hands. The weather was hot with wind gust of 20mph in the daytime and by evening the sky was a Yellow/Orange mix with heavy rain.  They predicted it will be tornadoes and it was in some areas but no where in my hood.  2 people died and some houses were shredded.  The damage to the houses looked really bad.  Lord please provide those in need a blessing that will gain them strength for the future.
My son stared me in my eyes today and I stared at the world through his.  He's eating more and more everyday, his rapid growth impresses me everytime I look at him.  His farts filled the room all day as we tried to tackle his colic.
Iphone lovers overloaded Apple & AT&T with orders of iPhone 4 telephone that's coming out next week. Hackers twiddle their thumbs waiting to attack the unprotected.
59 days of Oil spilling out of a machine that the owner confessed today he had no involvement of some of the decisions that were made. Yesterday it took President Obama meeting with them for 4 hours to get them to agree upon a $20Billion fund.  Today a Republican apologized to the C.E.O then called it a shakedown by Obama.  The Lakers won the Championship behind a brillant performance by Kobe Bryant.
Lord Thank You for your Presence in my life as I continue to Stride foreward to greatness!

My Mind, my time
My drive to a neverending road to an adventure of possibilities
Chances
1rst dances, tomorrow's dance not to promised
Your life, don't let it escape
It isn't what you do, it's the way you do it
Plan your work and work your plan to the fullest
Exercise and nourish your imaginations
To energetic flow that you can feel like
Wind Blow
Time so Valuable, float with originality
I encourage anyone trying to improve and bring success into their life
Envy and fear are the roots of hatred
Love always eases pain
Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none!

Pride

In the midst of all the things that I have gone through in my lifetime, one word has always seem to play a part of every situation and that word is Pride. Sometimes it's not at its strongest level and sometimes it's something I strive off of. In the short book, by Michael Eric Dyson titled Pride, on the cover is a picture of a guy holding a mirror up in his hand and him looking at it. After indulging in the thoughts of Mr. Dyson, the book goes within yourself and reveal what pride can be and how it can be used. Being that it is one of the 7 deadly sins, the author weighs the two sides of if pride should be considered a sin or is it part of a virtuous character.
In the introduction the authour states that without a sense of pride, one might not achieve or continue to strive for excellence in one's field of endeavor. So is it really a sin or a virtue?
The first chapter speaks of the religious roots of Pride. "Self regard is a vital pillar to love of God and neighbor. If thinking too highly of oneself is a sin, then the Aristotelian vice of thinking too lowly of oneself qualifies as well." If you fail to love yourself, the self that God made and loves then it's is extremely hard to recognize your the God aand worth in others.
The following chapters went from talking about your own personal pride, to White Pride, to Black Pride, to National pride. In the chapter of Personal pride he takes us on a journey of how and why he gained so much pride in reading and writing his own work.I hate to give too much of the book away but I suggest that you take a read for yourself and share your feelings about what Mr. Dyson talks about in his book Pride.
